The Connection of Leadership and Culture as a Strategy

The Connection of Leadership and Culture as a Strategy

Did you know that 7 out of 10 businesses fail? Do you know why some businesses succeed and some fail? A business succeeds when the vision of the leader is communicated to and applied by everyone on the team, which was the answer of Aleksandra Efimova, owner of Russian Pointe a multimillion business with an inspiring and tough business character.

A strong vision, mission and a convincing slogan are crucial for the perfect success for business and go far beyond what the company stands for. These statements need to be compelling, clear, memorable and simple as possible. But all in all, why does this need to be discussed and to whom does it need to be discussed?
Not only the leader needs to correspond with its employees but further to the whole company so that everyone will work as a unity and stick together in the same direction to achieve the goals. Creating a culture in the company is necessary for the whole business, in which everyone understands the message and lives, believes and loves what the company reaches and stands for.

A small business with a strong vision gets you bigger and pushes to new limits.

Besides the business, strategic planning needs to be established, but how does this need to be structured? The principal elements for framework of business are defined as:

-        Vision
-        Mission
-        Objectives
-        Key Performance Indicators
-        Tasks to be done daily, monthly, yearly

A strategic plan helps to understand where the business is at the moment, where it will be in the future and the way to get there. At this point, it is important that the employees are aligned to the strategy by creating a culture of quality. This ensures the prevention of mistakes due to the fact that the employees understand the leaders’ messages and take them into the right actions.
Moreover, a strategy includes a stream of decision. Being a leader means to take decisions and not being afraid taking risks at the same time to find the right balance to detain a jeopardizing of the business.

However, the structure is not enough to maintain the business, it requires much more. When planning the strategy of a business, some further points should be considered. A strategic planning is only useful, when it is realizable and is applicable for the business. Furthermore, continuous analysis and evaluation of the business operations and actions, help to understand the mistakes made in the business and to enables improvements.

  1. Dear Senia,

I really liked the way you started your blog. A rhetoric question? Always works.

You gave quite interesting information about russian pointe and I like the way you structured it.

The sentence "A small business with a strong vision gets you bigger and pushes to new limits." led me think about your own business idea AirConnect that you are working on at the moment. My recommandation for that project is that you should keep working on your vision so that you really can reach new limits. An article that might be interesting for you is :
